PaperBag: the Roleplaying Game Show is a fast-paced, improvised roleplaying show  where cast and crew dive into a new genre every scene — all to benefit charity. Streams bimonthly Tuesdays from March to November.

How PaperBag is Played…

  • Each GM runs ONE scene with each player. Their job is to guide the player to their highest and best performance.
  • They get a random genre from the Dice of Destiny and then the GM and Player are sent their respective scene prompts. The prompts are different because they have different points of view.
  • They have 3 minutes to read their prompt and prepare for their performance (with no assistance from other participants, chat, or the staff).
  • They then get 10 minutes to roleplay the scene.
  • There is at least one moment where they use their ability to affect the scene through a dice roll.
  • Then CHAT and the two GMs give the player a 1-5 star rating for their performance.
  • Scores are added up, and highest at the end of the night wins the big prize. The other participants get prizes from one of the sponsors.
